Peacock Alert
There is a rumour going round that the landlord and landlady of the clubs headquarters knows something about a peacock in Rushwick. It has been suggested that the bird is keeping local residents awake. The bird which goes by the name of Captain Peacock has evaded all attempts to recapture him. Suggestions on the capture of a 9 foot bird would be appreciated. -

Ern Hope and Harold Locke Annual Memorial Match
Members of the Whitehall AC fished the tenth Ern Hope and Harold Lock on the club pool at Cotheridge. Anglers found the fish reluctant to bite; the result of the match was decided with five minutes to go. Match winner Tony O’Neil fishing corn on peg 4 hooked and landed a carp with the last cast of the match to scale an all carp net of 27 02 00. Extractions from Worcester News 2010 17th April Silver Fish Match – Club Pool The Whitehall angling club held a silver fish only contest at their pool at Cotheridge with Dave Warren carrying on from where he left off last season by taking first prize.
